It was a while later. The group had stumbled upon a cave. Daryl and Murphy had checked it out to make sure it was safe before letting the others in. Daryl had managed to make a campfire. Ten was sitting next to the fire, watching the flames. Shiva was cuurled up, her head resting on her paws. Her eyes were close.

Daryl looked the group over. “How long have you two been traveling together?”
Daryl asked, looking over at Murphy and Ten

murphy sighed and thought a moment. "well.. i think it was about two years after everything started. maybe three?" he said and scratched his beard for a moment. "right, ten?" he asked, tilting his head slightly. carl looked between them and frowned softly. "how did you even become a government experiment?" he asked wuietly. murphy paused and looked at carl for a moment. "i was randomly selected from a number of inmates in the new york law system. i was the only one who the injection worked on." he stated. he hadn't told anyone that- not even ten.

Ten glanced at Murphy. He was silent as the other spoke. He blinked, frowning. Daryl sighed. “I’m sorry you had to go through that. No one should ever be used as an experiment.” Daryl said. He glanced at Shiva. “Clearly not all experiments are bad. But what the government has done is introduced animals we weren’t ready to live with again and now the world is being destroyed because of it. So...I’m glad you turned out alright do being an experiment, murphy.” He said.

Shiva opened her eyes after a momemt. Her ears swiveled froward and she looked to be on alert. Her head lifted and she stared at the entrance of the cabe

murphy looked up as well, and frowned. "whatever's there, turn back." he stated.

Ten frowned, wathing them. “What is it girl?” He askes. Shiva flicked her ear. She let out a low growl, but seemed to relax after a momemt

carl made a soft, scared noise, shrinking into shiva.

Daryl frowned, looking over at the entrance. He moved over to the entrance, looking around. “Whatever was there is gone now. Don’t worry.” Daryl assi

carl nodded and sniffed. "carl, why don't you try and get some sleep?" murphy suggested and carl hesitated, leaning against shiva.
