he blinked. "i have no choice. i'm all the kid has right now. i might not be his dad, but i sure as hell feel like it."

Daryl sighed. "Then you're a good person. Most would just leave him to fend for himself." Daryl murmured

he blinked. "i might be a felon, but i'm also a father. i can't just leave some kid alone in the wilds."

Daryl watched him. "...That's good of you." He said. he glanced down at Ten, Carl and Shiva.

After about two hours, Shiva's eyes snapped open. Her head lifted and her ears perked up. She then glnced down at Carl before moving away from him and getting to her paws.

carl made a side noise as he was moved and curled up a bit more. murphy looked up and blinked. "what is it girl?"

She looked around before moving over to the entrance. Daryl watched her. "Maybe she's just hungry." He said.

he blinked and tilted his head. "i can easily fix that." he said and stood, moving to the cave entrance. "hey, anything tiny with no will to live, mind coming out?" he said sarcastically, but about three mice came over anyways. "oh." he said and picked up the smallest, humming. "you're not getting eaten, sorry." he said and hummed.

Shiva glanced down at the mice. She lowered her head, flicking her ear. She then looked up at Murphy. Daryl blinked.

"That's kind of cruel...Letting the others die. They were probbaly a family." Daryl said. Shiva lifted her head. Her ears pinned abck and she growled

he looked at the mouse. "were they your family?" he asked and the mouse squeaked. "ooo you're evil." he said, smirking. "he didn't like the other mice. led them over because he knew what would happen. he's just lucky i picked him up." he looked at shiva. "eat up."
