Jack blinked, walking out with Gabe

Gabe led him to their room and sighed. "ok.. uh.. i'm going to just get right to the point.. i want to be a dad."

Jack glanced at Gabe. He blinked. "You do?" he asked. He looked him over. "That's great, Gabe." He sid.

he hesitated. "i want.. i want us to be dads. but.. i can't have kids." he sighed. "o can't.. you know. make them.. and i don't want to just adopt a kid. i want it to be something that's truly.. ours. something we raise from birth.."

Jack glanced at him. "Oh." He murmured after a moment. He looked him over. "...Gabe, I want that to. But...You know the dangers we face every day doing this job. We can't be certain if a battle will be our last. I don't want to think like that, but its a possibility. So raising a kid...If soemthing happened to us, it wouldn't have anyone." He said.

he frowned. "they'd grow i
up with a huge family. by the time i'm put off duty, i'm going to be in my smfifties. o don't want to raise a kid when the worst fear they have is coming home from school to see one of us has had a heart attack! i'd rather they live on a base, where everyone would care about them, and they know how to fight! i.." he trailed off and looked down. "if you don't want to, just tell me and i'll back off."

Jack glanced at him. He moved over to Gabriel. He set a hand on his cheek. “Gabe...Look at me.” He murmured, brushing his thumb along his cheek.
