Moira glanced them over. "...I'll uh...I'll let you two talk. I'll go give Jesse an update." Moira said. She then turned, leaving the room as well. Jack nodded, watching her leave before looking at Gabe.

"...Are you going to be okay Gabe?" He asked.

he hesitated. "i don't know. all of the options are., they're terrible.." he whimpered.

He blinked, looking Gabe over. He was silent for a moment. He then gently pulled Gabe down, hugging him. “...They’re horrible, yes. But..I’ve got to try Gabe. I can’t leave you and Jesse alone. Not now. If I don’t go through with the surgery, then we won’t have long together. Yes, there’s a chance I won’t make it but...I’m a soldier. And I sure as hell don’t plan on a dying on a surgery table.” He murmured.

he looked down and took a depp breath. "shit.."

He slowly rubbed his back, keeping him close. "...It's going to be okay Gabe." He murmured. He pressed a soft kiss to his head. "The surgery is going to take a while. Why don't you head home and get some rest? You need it." He murmured.

he shook his head. "i'm not leaving/"

He blinked. "...Alright." He murmured. He gave him a soft squeeze. He then slowly pulled away, looking Gabe over.

he frowned softly and moved to nuzzle his shoulder.

Jack raised a hand, resting it on the back of his head. He closed his eyes. "It's going to be okay Gabriel. I'm not leaving you guys yet." He whispered.
