He sighed. "I can understand that." he murmured. He glanced him over. "Thank you for protecting Atreus out there." He said. He was about to turn away before he heard a roar in the distance. It sounded almost pained. Atreus walked out of the house.

"What was that noise?" Atreus asked.

"I don't know." Kratos murmured. Atreus frowned.

"...Should we check it out?" He asked.

he hesitated. “i’ll go check it out.”

Kratos frowned. "I'll come with." He said. Atreus blinked, grabbing his bow. Kratos looked at Atreus before glancing away. He then moved off towards the sound.

"I would really be cautious if I were you. You don't know what's out there." Mimir said.

he followed along.

After a while, they stumbled onto a part of the forest that was a bit more open. Some trees looked like they had been knocked down and torn. Amongst the wreckage there was a creature laying there on its side. It was a dragon. It looked injured, like it had just gotten into a fight. It must have crashed onto the ground from flying. Its eyes were closed and its breaths were shallow and a bit rapid.

Kratos stopped, looking at the dragon. Atreus's eyes widened.

he frowned and instantly moved over, setting a hand on the dragon’s nose gently.

Atreus frowned, slowly moving over to it. “Boy.” Kratos warned. Atreus frowned, kneeling down beside Ullr. He glanced it over before resting a hand on it besides Ullr’s.

The dragon opened its eyes after a moment. It looked over, spotting Atreus and Ullr. The dragon let out a growl, lifting its head. It then started to try and get to its feet. It huffed before collapsing back onto its side.

Kratos looked it over. He then took out his axe. The dragon spotted the axe. It roared at him, attempting to move away from Kratos.

ullr frowned. “kratos, the ax. get rid of it for a bit.” he said and tried to calm to dragon.

Kratos nodded. He then moved off to set the axe down. The dragon seemed to calm a bit once the other was gone. Atreus frowned. “...I wonder why it’s not attacking us. Wounded animals are always more violent.” He said

he drowned. “dragons are smart. they know not to pick fights they can’t win.” he said. he gently pet the dragon. “do you see any injuries?”
