she frowned and shook her head. “we cant stop tonight. tomorrow, though.” she said and grabbed a water bottle and a twinkie, handing it to the boy. the boy instantly started to drink and eat, shaking horribly.

he flinched and slowed down a bit, still shaking.

"There you go." Ten murmured softly. He then started rubbing his back in slow circles. He glanced ahead as they started driving again. However, he flinched when an animal suddenly sprint out and ended up getting hit by the truck. It was a rather large animal too, so it probably ended up denting the truck a bit. Ten suddenly flinched. "What the hell was that?" Ten asked.

the boy had jumped, looking up with wide eyes. murphy looked up and frowned.

On the side of the road, there was a lioness laying there. She still seemed to be alive, but hurt. They didn't have lions around these parts as well, so she must have escaped from a zoo. Ten frowned, watching her. The lioness tried to get up, but she let out a low pained sound when she moved and slowly laid back down. He noticed she seemed a bit bigger around her stomach. She must be pregnant.

"...Did we hit her?" Ten asked.

murphy’s eyes widened. “we are not taking a lion!” he stated. the boy made a weak noise and nervously drank the water.

Aidan frowned. "...Yeah, but it's hurt. And pregnant. We can't just leave her here." Aidan murmured, looking at Murphy. Ten looked it over. He then got out of the truck, slowly moving over to her. The lioness glanced over at Ten. Her ears instantly flattened and she let out a low growl.

"Hey...Hey. It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you." Ten murmured, raising his hands a bit. The lioness lookedTen over, swallowing a bit and then lowering her head a bit as she watched Ten warily. Her ear flicked a bit nervously. Ten slowly approached the lioness, kneeling down a foot away from it. He then slowly extended his hand to her. She turned her head, sniffing his hand. She then slowly nudged her nose against his hand.
