he hesitated. “well.. that uh.. the box that people step into and once the doors close, they disappear or more people appear.. i’ve been too nervous to try it.. and i was told that my room was upstairs.. though i can’t find any stairs.. so i assume the box is a form of teleported..”
Gabe hesitated and rushed off, moving out to the roof. “jesse?”

Reinhardt nodded. "Yes, it is. But I can assure you its nothing dangerous." he said.

Jesse flinched a bit at Gabe's voice. He was just sat down on the roof on the edge, letting his legs dangle off. He had his hat off and was fidgeting with it in his hands, seemingly unaware that he was doing that. He glanced over his shoulder at Gabe. "Hey boss." He murmured.

he hesitated. “i uh.. could you show me how it works?”
he moved to sit with him. “you can call me Gabe, you know.” he said and looked at him. “how come you didn’t talk to jack when he came up here?”

Reinhardt nodded. "Yes, I can." He murmured. He turned, heading off to the elevators they had at the base.

Jesse glanced Gabriel over before looking away. He glanced ahead, letting out a quiet breath. "I just...Wanted to be alone. There was some...Issues....I had to think over. And I didn't want him to worry." He murmured.

he followed, looking around briefly. “i’ve mostly been meditating in the fields. as much as i so obviously adore the stars, i would much rather be in the warmth. this form is already cold as it is..” he said.
he hesitated. “you were t planning to jump, right, because i will handcuff you to me.” he said, obviously concerned.

Reinhardt nodded. "You should be quite warm in your room." He murmured. He stopped when they reached the elevators. He then pushed a button and waited for the door to open before stepping inside.

Jesse closed his eyes, letting out a bitter, small laugh. "No...No, I wasn't. But it'd be better if I did." He whispered.

he watched quietly, floating next to him with a hand held politely behind his back, one hand held up to keep him in the air.
his eyes widened. “no it fucking wouldn’t!” he said and pinched his cheek in a gentle but scolding way. “is be devastated if you tried to hurt yourself. don’t tell anyone i said this , but you’re my favourite.”

Reinhardt then looked at Jenos before pressing a button to get to the floor his room was on. The doors closed and they started going up.

Jesse blinked, looking down. He set his jaw a bit at Gabe's words. "I shouldn't be your favorite." He muttered. "You don't know a damn thing about me, Gabe. The me you think you know isn't the real me. I've been lying to all of you this entire time." He whispered.

when the elevator lurched, the light in his palm flickered Nd he dropped to his feet roughly, the curl in his hair falling limp and reaching his knees. he cursed and grabbed reinhardt’s arm to steady himself.
Gabe frowned. “we all lie, jesse. hell, i lie all the time, even to you.”
