She blinked, raising an eyebrow. "...Well, there's only one way to find out, right?" She asked

he blinked and hesitated. “watch him from a distance?” he suggested a bit hopefully

She nodded and smiled. "Yeah. I'll keep an eye on him Jack." She murmured

he smiled slightly and nodded, chuckling.

She watched him before looking over when Gerard entered the room. He seemed worried. "Gerard? What's wrong?" Maria asked.

"Have you seen Amelié anywhere?" Gerard asked. Maria frowned.

"No...Why is she not at the base?" She asked. Gerard shook his head.

"She arrived last night, but I havent seen her anywhere this morning." Gerard said. "No one else has either." He said. Maria frowned.

"...Alright. Ill help you look for her, Gerard." Maria murmured

he frowned. “who’s amelie?”

"My wife. She's been away this past month on a tour. She does professional ballet as a career. She came back late last night and was supposed to be staying here a few weeks." Gerard said

he frowned and blinked. “and you saw her last night?”

Gerard nodded. "Yes. She arrived here at ten. We stayed up for an hour together and then went to be together. I woke up at six this morning. She usually sleeps in until 8. But she wasn't in bed. No where in the base. And she hasn't called or texted me saying she was out anywhere." He said

he frowned. “well, was she acting strangely?” he questioned.
