Gabe stared at Jack when the gun was suddenly pointed at him. The other men shared a look. “He’s bluffing.” One of them muttered.

“This is ducking pointless. Kill the others!” One man siad. After a momemt, they started firing at Jack and the dropship.

jack’s eyes widened and he was barely able to dodge, most of the bullets hitting his in the starch. he hissed and his gun went off just as his arm fell, firing towards canes leg. he collapsed, spitting up blood.

At the sound of gunfire, Gabe quickly drew out his gun, firing at the others. When Jack collapsed, he quickly picked him up, helping him to the ship. “Fio! Go now! Get Jack back!” Gabe said. He flinched when he was suddenly grabbed by the other men, being dragged off of the ddopship. He fought to get away from them, watching with wide eyes as the dropship door closed with Jack inside and it started flying off. Gabe watched the ship leave, stopping his struggle and lowering his head, looking down at the ground.

Maria’s eyes were wide when she spotted Jack. She quickly moved over, kneeling beside him, starting to patch him up as best as she could until they got back to the base where she could properly fix his wounds.

“What about Gabe?” Maria asked.

“It’s too dangerous, Maria. We can’t go back for him.” Fio whispersd, keeping her gaze ahead.

jack hissed, trying to get back to the door. “turn around!” he exclaimed.

Maria frowned. “Jack stop moving. You’re injured now stop so I can help you.” She said, gently holding him down.

he struggled, hissing. “no! it’s my fault, we have to ge ha-“ he was fought off by coughs, sputtering blood and whimpering slightly.

She frowned, setting her hand on his back. “We will go back to save him Jack. But we can’t right now. Not without the others and not with your injuries being as severe as they are. It didn’t seem like they wanted him dead. That means there’s hope they’ll just keep him locked up or something and that’ll give us time to get him back.” Maria said

he frowned. “maria, he’s committing treason. if they don’t kill him, the higher ups will.”

Maria glanced down. “...And I’m saying we can’t go back for him Jack. I want to save him as much as you do. But...He’s strong. It’s not treason if he doesn’t tell them anything. And I know he won’t. No matter what. He’s loyal to us.” She said

he hissed. “if he doesn’t say anything, then they’ll shoot him.. and he’s hurt. i..”
