It had been around a month later since Jesse’s acceptance into Overwatch. It took him a week, but he eventually came around and instantly became one of the best members they had. He was certainly more well mannered now then when he first joined and the others had started taking a liking to him.

Jesse was currently wandering the halls before running into a woman. Moira. Blackwatch’s scientist and medic. “Good morning Moira.” Hesse greeted.

“Hello Mccree.” She said. She glanced him over. “I hear you’re making good progress. Keep that up and you may even come on a mission with us soon.” Moira siad. Jesse’s eyes lit up.

“A mission? What do you guys normally do for missions?” Mccree asked

“Mostly deal with scoutings and secret undercover attacks. Mostly against Talon.” Moira said. Jesse’s smile fell a bit at the mention of Talon.

“Talon..” He trailed off. Moira bkinked.

“What’s wrong Mccree? Do you know something about talon we don’t?” Moira asked, wathing him. Mccree was silent for a moment.

“No ma’am.” He whisoered, glancing away. It was clear he was lying. She narrowed her eyes.

after a bit, Gabe walked in and looked over them.

Jesse and Moira looked over at him. “Good morning Gabriel.” Moira said. Jesse nodded before heading off. Moira watched Jesse leave before looking at Gabe. “That kid knows something but he won’t tell me.” She said

Gabe nodded. “i know. i’ve been working on it, so drop it.” he stated and looked at jesse with a smile. “jess!” he said and moved over, holding up a bag. “got us fires.. and a sweet tea.”

Moira bkinked, nodding.

Jesse looked over at Gabe. His eyes lit up. “Thanks boss.” He said, smiling.

he handed him the tea (obviously mcdonald’s) and a thing of fries. “has your day been going go? i hope moira hasn’t put you under too much stress?”

He blinked. “No. She’s been fine Gabe. Just being the same old Moira she always is.” He said, smiling. He then looked him over. “Sir? Would you mind if I went out somewhere tonight?” He asked

he sighed softly. “you know you’re not allowed to
leave base alone, yet.”

He blinked. “I...I know.” He whisoered, looking down.

he nodded. “i’m sorry, but with how things are, no one can leave without someone.”
