murphy scowled. “i can’t believe you’re still on that. i saved her life!” he said and that launched them into a shouting match. warren and addy quickly moved to hold them back.

Jesse shook when the others started to shout. Lena frowned, noticing how scared Jesse looked. She made her way over, gently taking Jesse by the wrist and leading him out of the room.

Once in a room that was quieter, Lena turned to Jesse and hugged him tightly. Jesse hugged her back. He glanced down a bit, looking at a spot on his arm. There was a cut on it that the zombie had made. But after hearing what could happen, he was terrified of telling them the truth.

“...I won’t let them hurt you, Jesse.” Lena whispered quietly.

Lena frowned. “I overheard you two talking. And I...I did manage to find some twinkies for you.” Lena said
