Jesse glanced up at Gabe. He as silent as he spoke before shaking his head.
“No. There’s nothing.” Jesse whispered

he scowled. "you're lying. i know that look. what is it?" he asked, moving to jold him up a bit so that he could look at him.

Jesse looked down before glancing up at Gabe. He sighed, looking down. He rolled up his sleeve, revealing a scratch there. However, it looks inflamed and infected. “...The zombie scratched me.” Jesse whispered

Gabe’s eyes widened and ten sat up straight. “oh, shoot..” he breathed and looked towards the inside of the truck.

Jesse glanced down, slipping his sleeve back down to cover it.

Jack looked in the rear view mirror, frowning. He then opened the small window on the back of the truck, turning to look at him. “Everything alright Gabe?” He askws

Gabe hesitated and looked at jesse. he then leaned to whisper what was going on to jack.

Jack’s eyes widened after a moment. He then glanced at Jesse. “...Please tell me that isn’t true.” Jack whispered

“It’s true.” He whispered, looking down. Jack cursed under his breath.

Gabe scowled. “we’ll figure out a way to fix this.” he said softly to jesse, moving to hug him close. “murphy.. murphy can keep him from turning.. maybe make it so that the infection goes away. i’ve seen a bullet pass through him and hit someone else and the wound just.. heals..” ten said softly.

Jesse kept close to Gabe when he was suddenly hugged. Jesse glanced over at Ten. “...No. you said you didn’t want him turning me into whatever he turned someone else into. It sounded bad. I’ll take my chances with this.” Jesse whispered

he hesitated. “to be fair.. cassandra died right before he bit her.. we know that.. that people that don’t die right after just.. do what he says, sometimes mimic his movements..”
