hank paused when he heard nine, turning to look at him and sighing. "yeah? what is it?"

Nines smiled a bit awkwardly and said, tilting his head, "I'm not sure if Detective Reed wants you to know this, so please don't tell him you know, but he and I are in a... Romantic relationship. And since you're one of the only people I know who has been in a romantic relationship, I was wondering if you knew of some alternative ways to express your love? I know of kissing, and telling him, and we certainly show it through sex a lot... But I wanna know of other ways. I know you're not in a romantic relationship right now, but I figured you would remember.."

he stared at him and sighed. “shit.” he said thoughtfully and nodded. “well.. there’s always dates..”

[peridot.]

Nines blinked and nodded, saying softly, "I have never been on a proper date before. What kinds of activities do you do on them?"

he sighed. “well.. some people go to amusement parks, like carowinds, or a fair if they’re in town. others take their lovers to the park for a picnic or a restaurant..”

[peridot.]

He blinked and nodded slightly, saying softly, "Well... I believe that I could set up something like that." He then said, a small amused smile coming to his face as he looked at the other, "Out of curiosity, what does RK-800... I mean, Connor enjoy on a date?"

[dannychan]

he stared at him and scowled. “how would i know?”

A soft bout of laughter left Nines, and he shook his head, saying softly, "Nevermind, I just... Had a bit of a hunch. I guess I was wrong."

he scowled. “hunch about what?”

[peridot.]

A few days after saying 'I love you', Nines had realized that he didn't really know how to express his love for Gavin other than through kissing or sex, and he kinda wanted to figure out other ways to show it. He had decided to go to one of the only two other people he actually knew: Hank. He would've gone to Connor, but he wasn't sure the other would really know. So, he had waited until Hank went into the break room and went in as well, saying softly with his arms tucked behind him, "Lieutenant Anderson? May I ask you something?"
