It was a few weeks later. Jesse and Hanzo ended up getting together. Jesse had been slowly teaching Hanzo more and more English. He has been learning rather quickly

hanzo seemed.. much happier around jesse. he smiled more, his eyes seemed to shine, there was more bounce in his step.. and he was actually processing everything he learned. so far, his favourite word was  onomatopoeia, because it was the first word he actually got right that was more than five letters. there were some words he just repeated over and over like “cat” or “fridge” because he felt that they sounded strange. at the moment, he was with jesse, attempting to have a conversation in english. “has your day been good?” he asked slowly.
