i guess i’ll start + put triggers for ptsd, death, violence, mentions of children and infants dying, mentions of terrorism and war??

Gabe hadn’t seen a huge amount of fighting, misting having been based in london for most of his service, but the last year, he had been in the middle east, fighting the terrorist group isis and trying to help the innocent citizens during raids. he had seen a lot of people die- many of which were women and children, sometimes babies, and many times the people he caught next to. he was lucky enough to only have been grazed by bullets, or cut by knives..

but that didn’t make things better. he had night terrors, panic attacks that he couldn’t control, loud noises would cause him to just.. disconnect completely from his mind to where it felt he was playing a game in third person.. but the night terrors were the worst. he tossed and turned, many times keeping him up all night after he woke up.

currently, he was sat bolt up, shaking horribly and trying to catch his breath as he hyperventilated, unable to calm himself. it felt like his heart would explode from his chest from how fast it was beating.. he was scared, and he wanted jack, but he didn’t wnt to wake him up.. so he just started to cry quietly, sobbing softly into his shaking hand.

Jack had gotten up from his sleep since he needed to use the bathroom. Which was past Gabe’s room. At the time Gabe was still asleep, so Jack didn’t seem all too worried. One his way back to his room however, he stopped when he heard Gabriel crying in the other room. Jack felt a sense of dread fall over him and instantly grew concerned.

Jack opened the door and then moved inside. His eyes widened at the sight of his friend and he felt his chest tighten a bit. “Gabe? Hey...Hey, what’s wrong?” Jack asked, moving over and sitting beside him

Gabe shook his head, taking deep hreaths and trying his best to calm himself, but that was too hard, so he just continued sobbing, using his free hand to reach for jack.

Jack frowned. Jack scooter closer, raising a hand and resting it on the back of his head, pulling him close. He then raised his other arm, wrapping it around Gabriel.

he sobbed into jack’s chest, holding him tightly and gripping at his shirt.
