Jack glanced at him. “..,I don’t know.” He whispered. He then headed outside, looking over. He spotted a woman, looking to be of Hispanic race. She was yelling at a child, probanly no older then seven or eight. The woman then suddenly got into a car, driving off, leaving the child there.

The chikd’s Eyes had widened and she froze, watching as the car drove off. She took a few steps towards the road, watching as she drove off. The girl then suddenly took a step back, shaking a bit as tears filled her eyes.

“Hey...Are you alright kiddo? What happened?” Jack asked softly. The girl suddenly jumped, whipping around and facing Jack. She took a step back, her eyes wide. She looked scared

Gabe looked at the child and slowly moved over, getting at the girl. “Hola cariño. mi nombre es Gabriel. ¿Me puedes decir tu nombre?” he asked softly, holding out his hands for her to take.

She glanced at Gabriel, listening as he spoke. She still seemed a bit tense. “O...Olivia.” She whispered quietly

he nodded. “este es mi amigo, Jack. ¿me puedes decir que es lo que paso?”

Olivia sniffed, looking down. She stayed silent. “...Mom got made. She told me it was my fault Dad left. She drove me out here and told me she never wanted to see me again an left.” Olivia whispered quietly. She trembled a bit as tears spilled from her eyes.

Jack frowned, watching her.

he frowned. “i’m sorry, sweetie. why don’t we take you to ice cream and then we can go tell on mommy to the police, hm?”

She sniffed, looking down. “I don’t want her to get in trouble.” She whisoered. Jack frowned.

“Okay...We’ll figure something out sweetheart. Do you know if you have any family around here who can take care of you?” He asked. She shook her head.

“They don’t live here.” She whispered

he frowned. “well.. i can take care of her. ana has a kid around her age that i baby sat. this can’t be too different.”

Jack frowned. “...Gabe she’s not your kid. Even if you were to take her in, you know you’ll have to go through he whole adoption process.” Jack said

he blinked. “so? she’s a child, and she needs help jack. i’m not just gonna leave her.” he said.
