Jack sighed, watching the man leave. He glanced back at Olivia before looking at Gabe. He sighed, setting a hand on his back. “Baby...Calm down. It’s alright.” Jack murmured.

he made a distressed growl sort oh noise and moved right to jack’s just, muttering profanities under his breath.

Jack frowned, watching him. He gently wrapped his arms around him, rubbing his back slowly.

Olivia was watching from the kitchen. She couldn’t help but feel a slight pain in her chest. Truthfully...She loved her biological father. And she missed him. A lot. Every day she’d always wonder about going out and searching for him. They had always been close since she was a child up until he and her mother got a divorce. And that hurt like hell. Her father was the only decent parent. And now seeing him again...It hurt. And part of her wanted to go back with her father but...She knew how badly Gabe was when she had left for a month. She couldn’t imagine what that would do to Gabe.

Olivia glanced down, a frown tugging at her lips. She then just closed her laptop, staying silent.

Gabe eventually started to cry silently, biting his lip. “he’s going to take her from us..” he breathed so olivia didn’t hear.

Jack frowned. He kept Gabe close. He didn’t really know what to say to that. Technically he could still file for legal guardianship since she wasn’t 18 yet and he was a biological parent. But...They has raised Olivia. He didn’t think she would just leave all that behind for someone she hadn’t seen or heard from in a few years.

“...It’s going to be okay Gabe.” Jack whisoered. He kept him close, kissing his head. “It’s okay.” He whisoered

he shook his head. “i.. i need to go for a drive.” he mumbled.

Jack frowned. “No absolutely not. You are in no position to be driving right now Gabe. You know that.” He whispered.

Olivia glanced over at them. She waited a moment before slowly moving over to them.

he frowned. “then a walk. i don’t want to be in the house, i can’t..” he mumbled and shook his head.

Jack sighed. “Fine. But I’m going with you. We don’t have to talk. But I want to keep an eye on you.” He said. He then glanced down at Olivia. “Olivia, do your school work. And stay safe until we get back.” He said. He then moved over, kissing her head before moving over to the door, waiting for Gabe to get ready.

Gabe sighed, rubbing his head and moving to kiss olivia’s cheek gently. “be good. no parties. keep the door locked and you know where the taser and mace is.” he said softly.
