[align=left][justify][size=9pt]rudolf always tried to be present for johannes's meetings. Not only did he need to receive the information, but he also wanted to be able to support his friend. The man wasn't always the most confident, and if rudolf's presence could help that at all, he'd be there. Unfortunately, he never knew exactly when they would be, and there were several times nobody alerted him that it had started.
Luckily, he'd noticed only a minute or so after it started, and quickly made his way to the front of the crowd; the only place he'd be able to see johannes clearly enough to understand him. It seemed like johannes wanted to promote someone; rudolf wasn't exactly sure who or why. There was also talk of dogs; shooting them? Not shooting them? Rudolf's brow furrowed, a little confused.
His arm still hurt something awful, but he felt like it was his responsibility to protect the lodge. He wished he could be of more help to the group, but at the moment he was probably viewed the one of the most useless people there. The other members didn't understand that deafness wasn't a weakness. They saw him as an invalid. Sure, there were many people who were accepting and kind but they still didn't quite understand. They still pitied him.
"what can we do to help, jo?" he spoke out after the dictator's mouth closed, signing with his left hand. He wanted desperately to be of use to the group, to prove himself.
