on my character & her country:
[x] 第一個皇家公主的瀚帝國 / first imperial princess of the hàn empire (also known as the empire of the [eastern] sea). next in line to rule. no, the crown does not transfer over to the firstborn prince; it transfers to the firstborn child (they don't fuss about the child's gender) when the emperor/empress either dies or abdicates the throne.
[x] she currently resides in the imperial palace (official name will go here) in the capital of the empire, 仙珍珠 (xiānzhēnzhū); which, if translated literally, means 'immortal pearl' - a testament to the city's longevity and prosperity.
[x] pearls are used as currency within the empire. golden pearls > blue pearls > chocolate pearls > lavender pearls > pink/peach pearls > white pearls. black pearls are extremely rare, and only the imperial family is allowed to be in possession of them. if anyone aside from a member of the imperial family is found to be in possession of a black pearl.......it's a pretty serious crime. the implications of that are not good.
[x] slavery is permitted within the empire. however, the slavery system is considered "humane" (not really tbh...but hhngh) because slaves must be freed after five years of service. also, mistreatment of slaves is prohibited by law.

my character, her country, her culture:
[x] 霊帝国の最初の王女 / first [imperial] princess of the spirit empire (more commonly referred to as 精霊の楽園 among the empire's inhabitants, which translates to 'paradise of spirits')
[x] it was said that inari founded the empire and guided the first empress or 高使者 (high messenger).
[x] the members of the imperial family and the nobles are all said to be kitsunes (in their human formes [and yes, they are actually kitsunes in their human formes]). the members of the imperial family are said to be able to communicate directly with inari.
[x] members of the imperial family and nobles all wear kitsune masks. inari's kitsune messengers are said to be white, and so white kitsune masks (adorned with red, gold, and/or black) are worn by the members of the imperial family at all times (with the exception of when they are bathing; i'll get more into it hhngh). nobles wear black kitsune masks (adorned with red or gold).
[x] actuaLLY, ALL CITIZENS WEAR MASKS OR SOME SORT OF VEIL. not kitsune masks, but....just.. other traditional masks. your name would be written on the forehead of your mask / in the center of your veil, so people can know who other people are, of course.
[x] to show your face is considered... well, it's improper. the only times one is permitted to show their face is when one is bathing (because that's when one is supposed to wash away all the impurities from their essence... this is why there are so many cleansing springs), or when one is at home, in the presence of their family members.
[x] anyone who lays eyes on the faces of the imperial family without explicit permission will probably be put to death (by fire).
[x] people there seem to age incredibly slowly. this is because time passes faster outside the boundaries of the empire.
[x] they make.....the best sake you've ever tasted ok.

we have so many plots running now i . should organise all my info into one document and split the document into sections smh.....

okay, so jīnhóng (oh god this feels odd but i'll roll w/ it hhngh) is from the Eastern Sea. chaeyeon (how do u guys do this i) is from.... that kingdom in the sky hhbfhf.... a forest kingdom ?? one underground ?? we still need to figure out the rest, and outline the plot (at least we have an idea though).
