so canary and crow here are a pair of twins who recently joined new carthage. they're former members of a small tribal society known as smith, and were effectively abandoned by them. think, like, sid from ice age. crow was the heir to the tribe and the future leader, while canary was technically the rightful heir, a former priestess, a former healer, and a warrior novice. they speak a language i made up on the spot, and they love to talk shit about people in their native tongue. especially right in front of them. they're almost twenty, extremely tall, they can act pretty childish... a lot.
canary is the first born, and though she was the rightful heir to the throne, she knew crow wanted it more, so she passed up on it for him. she tried to become a healer like her aunt, and even though she was pretty good at it, she thought it was boring. the gods sent the current priestess "a sign" that said canary should become a priestess, and she tried that out for a while, but eventually deduced that she was completely unable to communicate with them. the only place left to try out was being a warrior, and though she started her training late, she figured out that she's pretty damn good at fighting and killing, so she began training as a novice, and was abandoned before she could complete her training.
she's 6'4", bisexual, heteromantic, and generally the easier twin to get along with? fairly calm, generally quite kind, tends to act more mature. she's very empathetic and in tune with her feelings and the feelings of those around her, and can serve as a great therapist when needed.
canary is open to:
- friends. it should be noted that anyone who bonds individually with canary will be subject to intense jealousy from crow, since he's always been sort of worried that canary's going to abandon him for someone more mature.
- being disliked / disliking others. enemies aren't really canary's thing, but she's the queen of passive aggression, and she talks a lot of shit about people with crow.
- sparring. it should be noted that she's overall very tall, very fast, and highly trained, so she doesn't lose a lot.
- romance. canary loves the idea of love and she's always idolized her parents romance and wanted something like that herself. as soon as she feels a spark, she tends to be very forward - she'll come up to you and tell you she's interested, and if you're not, it's completely fine. if you are, then you just won yourself a bird.
- one night stands. physical intimacy was very normal where she grew up, so she doesn't think twice about sleeping with someone she's attracted to. she can be very casual about this, and will act like absolutely nothing changed the next day, which can lead to a lot of awkwardness on someone else's part.
- drinking buddies. because canary can appreciate some good alcohol.
- exploring. she doesn't know new carthage very well, so if anyone wants to give her a tour or explore with her, go right ahead.

crow is the younger of the two twins, and when he expressed an interest in leading as a child, canary gave her position up for him. though he's massive, he tended to lag behind in training because he was "distracted". he's hooked up with half of their tribe, and his inability to chill the fuck out lead to a lot of conflict between him and his father, who felt he was making a mockery of the position. he's extremely charming and though he believes in monogomy, he doesn't believe in things being permanent. he loves in the moment, and once the attraction is gone, so is he. he's very open about this, but plenty of people in the past have made the mistake of thinking they can change who he is, and that just... doesn't happen?
crow is 6'6", and generally described as being build like a boulder. just overall massive, very broad and muscular. he's bisexual and biromantic, but is definitely more of a casual partner than husband material. he's probably the more difficult twin, as he tends to be pretty childish and rude at times, and does most of the shit talking. however, if he deems you as fun, he's a lot more fun to be around. he's definitely a bad influence at times, and overall pretty eager to get into trouble, generally relying on canary to get him out of trouble.
crow is open to:
- friends. as mentioned above, he's very easily bored and prefers to be around fun people. people who get into a little bit of trouble and go on adventures and act like children, because he's really just the biggest child. befriending kids is also super possible, because he's a big kid.
- people he dislikes / people who dislike him. he's much more likely than canary to just openly mock you, with the exception of people in positions of authority.
- fights. he doesn't start fights, but if he's provoked, he's definitely willing to fight with you. considering his overall size and his endurance, you've got to be pretty fast to fare well against him?
