group threads
#1
So, I’ve been thinking and reading back on ff because I do that sometimes if I want inspo from my old threads or something. Back then, group threwds (non main game ones) were a big thing in my life and although I miss it, it never seems as if I can get past the first page. I would like to honestly hear feedback in what ya’ll would be interested in, and to see if we can get past page two? Would you want applications or would that be too much and if we had a group thread, what would it be about?

Back in ff a lof the popular threads had to do with:
Abilities
Disney character / Children of disney char.
Some kind of post apocalypse or futuristic world
Slice of life
High school and/or college
And my most popular ones being:
A horror thread
Freakshow

I just want to know because I want to get back into group threads for the future and what would you join? Feel free to make suggestions

tracking real quick
i feel that the threads that tend to work are the ones with a lot of interaction and where there's more potential to create relationships bt ocs
(and i think threads w applications tend to gather up the role-player's interest more ? idk)

true, i always figured that out. the more involved they are, the more they’re likely to last but even then lately it hasn’t seemed that way and i want to see the issues in that and what most likely draws people to a group thread and you’re right, it allows the character to develop their character through applications.

I’d just make sure there’s as much interaction as possible
The reason why I drop these threads is either because nobody wants to plot with each other or everyone plots with each other except for me and I’d feel left out
Maybe the threads could have less slots so that there isn’t a lot of people and mass confusion?

I also like all of those ideas except for the freak show and horror thread, but that’s just me bc I’m not a big fan of horror :p

heyo

honestly its been at least a year since i was in a group thread that went beyond plotting. in fact, my last group thread was probably on ff before it got weird and bad so...idk. if it helps at all i'd join any of these besides an apocalyptic one because im sick to death of apocalypse plots lmao

YEAH, I’ve always personally been a fan of the ones with less slots because it gives more room for interactions. Another thing I was a fan of was giving roles, or like tropes to certain characters that people could make like: the princess, the jock, shit like that bc I feel like propelling those people to make moderately different character kinda helps push the plot

But yeah you’re right, Beatles. Like I said, people went from having threads and roleplaying, to just plotting, to not plotting, discussing anything with each other, or helping push the thread forwards. Do ya’ll think some already established relationships would help drive the thread forward?

Oooooh yes I always liked the tropes
And it doesn’t matter to me? (Helpful, I know)
But it really doesn’t
It could make things go faster though? And instead of everyone flocking to plot with one person, people just already have people to plot with

So did I, it kinda gave you a boost??
On what to work with if that made sense
You’re right though. Everyone should have an equal opportunity to have their characters noticed.

One of my favorite things with runaways have always been the: kids used for experiments, runaways, or maybe even a roadtrip theme. I don’t know, though. I would like to hear more suggestions bc if I’m to make a group thread I want to make sure it’s something everyone wants to do

and i
i would murder someone for a roadtrip thread
they're always my favorite because it works so well? like one big thread for the car ride where people are talking and messing around and shit
that's some good shit right there
