gavin hasn’t come into work for the past two days, but today, he finally came into work. he didn’t speak to anyone- not even tina. he made no attempt to say anything to hank or connor, not even a hello or a hey. there was no head nod his co workers as a greeting. he didn’t wear his earbuds like he normally did, wasn’t looking at his phone, just moving into fowler’s office, handing him a slip of paper. fowler read over the paper, standing and saying something, patting his shoulder and letting him god. gavin has just moved straight to his desk, opening a computer game and playing it with no enthusiasm at all. eventually he just seemed to space out, staring at one area on the screen, hand resting on the mouse heavily. he looked tired, his hair hardly brushed and his jacket unzipped, revealing a grey V neck underneath.
the paper he had given to fowler had simply read ‘my dad died last night and i don’t trust myself to be alone. the funeral is tomorrow.’ fowler was the only person he had told- not even tina knew that his dad had been sick and he had ben at the hospital with him since two days ago. he didn’t trust himself at the moment, and didn’t want to be alone.
