Mara wasn't one to endanger her own life often- actually, screw that idea, because she was always climbing on things. It gave her a height advantage, and allowed her to access parts of the city that were closed off to others - she was light, which meant a distinct advantage when it came to climbing on crumbling buildings; add that to her previous experience in climbing over obstacles to scout, both natural and manmade, and she was practically an expert. In fact, she had found that leaving her shoes off and instead wrapping cloth about her feet would get better grip, because shoes were clunky anyway.
So here she was, hanging off the second floor window of a house, and trying to reach across the narrow street to the adjacent building, the only indication of her presence being her boots left in the mud where she had started climbing, and the shadow she cast onto the street below. The interesting thing about this house in particular? The ground floor was sealed off by rubble, so it was impossible for most others to get in. A prospective new camp, so she had decided to investigate.
She didn't count on anyone walking past, though. She liked to think the others would either ignore her, or be in the other, less dilapidated portions of the city.
