he smiled softly under his mask. “who said we’d be leaving? i was drunk on the job half of the time and i did fine.” he joked and gently brushed her hair back. “nah, i’m kidding. go tell ana to take over for a bit and then i’ll take you to the nearest bar.” he said.

She looked him over before nodding. She then moved off, heading inside the base.

After a while, she came back out. She had changed out of her work outfit and into some more normal, loose clothing just to relax for the night. She had sweatpants on and a slightly baggy white shirt on. She still had the harness on with her chronal accelerator since she needed that to stay in one piece.

in the time that lena was gone, he had found a sweat shirt and sweat pants and ordered a hit on emily and the fiancée, having tested widow and then deleted the texts. he smiled at lena softly. “ok, what the nearest bar?”

Lena glanced at Gabe. "Doesn't matter to me Gabe." She murmured. "Whereever you feel like going." She said. She was silent for a moment. "...Did you and Jack used to have a favorite place you liked to go to?" She asked.

he hummed. “not in this country.” he said and hummed. “there was his amazing winery in france.. where he proposed.” he said.

She smiled softly. "...You two really loved each other at one point. I hope you two never lose that bond." She said. She then smiled. "There's a bar in the town nearby. Maybe only 20 minutes away." She said.

he nodded. “then let’s go for a jog.” he said and hummed. “like old times, yeah?”
