murphy has been doing.. well. since emori died about two years ago, he was finally starting to get back into the “dating” scene. of course, he wasn’t great at it, really, but at least he was trying. he had heard that commander roan (basically just high king) was looking for someone to rule by his side, find a queen or king.. while it was a very nice offer, it wasn’t like he had a chance (but he did, bc roan is gonna claim him lmao).

he had spent the last hour roaming the market when he heard clark say his name. he looked over his shoulder. “yeah?” he asked. clark looked over him. “roan wants to see you. wouldn’t say why.” she said and murphy pauses. town wanted to see him? he had talked to the male a few times recently, but it’s not like they were good friends. he moved to the massive tower in the middle of polis and moved into the manual elevator, which brought him to the top.

he looked at roan from where he sat in his throne, speaking quietly with his ear chief and tilted his head. “you wanted t see me?”

/basically, it’s starting off with roan literally claiming murphy.
