Noctis blinked. He glanced up at Ignis. “Ignis...My whole life has been fuck ups. And they’re all my fault.” He whispered. “That’s all I’ve heard. All my life. My mother’s death was my fault because the demons came looking for me and she was the only one there at the moment to protect me. What...What happened with my father was my fault. Iris getting lost when she was eight was my fault. And hurting you...I...” He trailed off, bowing his head slightly.

“You...You were the one person who I promised myself I would never hurt, physically or emotionally. Because you meant too much to me. And...I couldn’t even keep from doing that.” He whispered.

“My father was right...Every time he called me a failure or a mess up....He was right.” Noctis whispered, closing his eyes. He sniffed before opening his eyes. He glanced away from Ignis.

he frowned. "you need to tell anyone that calls you a fuck up to shit the fuck up. including yourself. your just a kid. you have no control over who lives or dies, or anything else's."

Noctis glanced down. He gave a faint nod. He blinked, looking him over. “...I’m sorry Ignis.” He whispered.

He nodded. He glanced over at the clock. “...It’s late. You should get some rest.” He said

he nodded. "alright. no sneaking out. and if you hear the door open, prompto called earlier and said he had to work late."

Noctis nodded. “Okay.” He said. He looked Ignis over, watching as the other stood to leave. “...Goodnight mom.” He murmjred, the last part a bit quiet, but loud enough for Ignis to hear.
