connor frowned worriedly. “you should go check on him..” he said and hesitated, looking at hank. “do you know why he would be depressed..?”

Hank shook his head and said softly, "No idea. Honestly he's been doing a lot of unusual things for him. Usually he refuses to not work even when he's sick as hell, but he wasn't here for two days, and now he doesn't seem that well... It's weird." Nines made a soft whining noise from the back of his throat and shook his head, moving into the restroom quickly and pushing open the door carefully to not alert Gavin.

gavin has locked himself in one of the smaller stalls, crouching so that he was on his toes but his legs never touched the ground, he had his face in his hands, tears falling silently with the occasional soft sob.

Hearing the soft sobs, Nines frowned and hesitated for a long moment before gently rapping his knuckles against the stall door, "Detect-... Gavin...? Are you okay? I mean... Can I help?"

he closed his eyes, taking a few deep breaths and slowly standing. he wiped his tears and slowly unlocked the stall door. he looked over nines, his eyes red and slightly unfocused. “help.. help me make it look like i wasn’t crying..” he mumbled.

Nines frowned and nodded, saying softly as he moved to grab a few paper towels and wet them a bit, "Alright, I can do that..." Gently touching Gavin's cheek, he began to carefully clean up the other's eyes.

he instantly flinched but tried to keep still, closing his eyes.

Nines frowned and said softly as he continued making Gavin's eyes look like normal, "I apologize if I only served to exacerbate your upsetness..." He then pulled his hands away, tilting his head, "I think your eyes are alright."

connor frowned and his LED seemed to flash yellow and red for a moemnt before looking at hank. “hank, why would gavin come into work if he’s not feeling good?@ he asked.

Hank blinked at the two androids and seemed to think for a moment before shrugging and saying softly, "Well... I know that sometimes when I'm feeling depressed I want to be around people so that I don't do anything too hasty, like hurting myself. So he might have thought the station was better to be in?" At this, Nines frowned and said, his LED spinning red, "Depressed? You think Detective Reed may be depressed? Then I can't just let him be in the restroom by himself..."
